About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our First Response, Assessment and Screening team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and intervention services to children and families in need, including those who are at risk of harm or have experienced trauma.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
  • Develop and implement effective plans to support children and families, including those with complex needs.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior staff members, promoting their professional development and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of children and families.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Registered with Social Work England and holding a valid driving license.
  • Extensive knowledge and application of social work legislation, methodologies, and policies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including children, families, and professionals.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to respond flexibly to changing requirements.
