Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our Adoption Team as a key member of our Children, Education and Justice Services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, assess, and support prospective adopters to provide a stable and loving environment for children in need.
  • Provide adoption advice and family finding services to children and prospective adopters, ensuring the best possible outcomes for all parties involved.
  • Deliver bespoke adoption support to families, including group work and training, to promote the well-being and stability of adoptive families.
  • Carry a caseload of complex cases, requiring strong assessment, planning, and delivery skills to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of need and risk, with the ability to assess, plan, and deliver a service that meets the needs of children and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid from home and office base, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • SSSC registration and a social work qualification are essential for this role.
