The London School of Modern Languages is a renowned institution dedicated to providing exceptional language education to adult learners. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced French language instructor to join our team of educators.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic French language instructor to teach adult learners in a face-to-face setting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully running face-to-face adult language courses in universities or language schools' environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging and interactive French language lessons to adult learners
  • Implement creative and effective teaching methods to promote language acquisition and cultural exploration
  • Foster a supportive and enjoyable learning environment that encourages active participation and real-world language use
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of learners with varying skill levels and learning styles
  • Incorporate cultural elements and activities into the curriculum to provide learners with a deeper understanding of the language's context and culture
  • Build a sense of community among learners, encouraging collaboration, peer support, and cultural exchange
  • Stay current with modern language teaching methodologies and adult education trends through ongoing professional development opportunities

Requirements

  • Highly proficient level in the taught language (French)
  • Proven track record of successfully running face-to-face adult language courses in universities or language schools' environments
  • Right to work in the UK and ability to travel to Holland Park
  • Native or C2 level in the target language
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • At least a University bachelor's degree in any topic
  • Either a University degree in Modern Language teaching or a Modern Language teaching certification (CLTA, DITALS, CTCSOL, TCSOL, etc.)
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Modern Language teacher for adult learners in language institutions
  • Flexible, resilient, and organized
  • University degree in the target language (master's degree preferred)
  • Experience of Teacher training e.g., CLTA training
