About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified mental health practitioner to lead our team of therapists and link workers in delivering person-centred, outcome-focused interventions for Children Looked After (CLA) experiencing moderate mental health difficulties.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with children and young people, with experience in leading teams and supervising therapists. They will be able to build strong therapeutic relationships, communicate effectively with children, young people, and their families, and work collaboratively with other professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of therapists and link workers in delivering interventions for CLA
  • Supervise and support therapists in their work with children and young people
  • Develop and implement therapeutic plans and interventions
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure effective support for CLA
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Professional registration with a recognised National Body (e.g. HCPC, NMC, BACP, BABCP)
  • Experience in working with children and young people, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals
