Underwriting Manager, Property Treaty

Role OverviewWe're seeking a seasoned Property Treaty specialist with underwriting, exposure management, and pricing expertise to join our team as an Underwriting Performance Manager. As a key member of our Class Underwriting Performance management team, you'll be responsible for developing and leading the underwriting policy for the Property Treaty class, providing oversight of technical underwriting issues, and collaborating with other Lloyd's functions to support our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the underwriting policy for the Property Treaty class, ensuring long-term sustainable profitable performance and enhancing the reputation of the Lloyd's market.
- Produce high-quality analysis, guidance, and insight on your product line, engaging with syndicates to understand and support their performance and strategic decision-making.
- Work in partnership with syndicates across the market to ensure the Property Treaty class delivers long-term sustainable profitable performance.
- A strong underwriting, pricing, or exposure management background and expertise in Treaty risks.
- A sound understanding of the Lloyd's market, its regulatory framework, and its risk appetites.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and stakeholder management.
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement of underwriting standards and practices.
This is a technical leadership role that requires you to role model the Lloyd's leadership profile and capabilities, with a focus on communicating with impact, making courageous decisions, and building trust and fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
