Automotive Fleet Operations Supervisor

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Fleet Assistant Supervisor to oversee our fleet operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our Automotive Fleet Assistants maintain compliance with all scheduled mechanical services, ancillary equipment checks, and thorough vehicle cleaning protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the work schedules of Automotive Fleet Assistants based on maintenance needs, reported issues, and cleaning schedules.
  • Travel to various locations as necessary to conduct repairs, servicing, and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform inspections and replacements of electrical components while adhering to company guidelines.
  • Maintain secure storage for tools and spare parts, ensuring they are in good condition.
  • Monitor the availability of essential spare parts and report any defects following the established procedures.
  • Prioritize safety by complying with Health and Safety regulations and COSHH standards.
  • Inform the fleet management team of any products that cannot be repaired to a safe standard.
  • Coordinate the return of equipment to manufacturers when repairs cannot be completed on-site.
  • Document any incidents involving equipment and report them to the fleet management team.
  • Conduct services and repairs in line with manufacturer recommendations.
  • Maintain effective communication with Automotive Fleet Assistants as needed.
  • Ensure all vehicles designated for disposal are de-kitted and that a comprehensive log of all equipment is maintained.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in repairing and servicing mechanical products.
  • Strong practical and mechanical skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Demonstrated capability to identify process improvements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Sound understanding of the company's market and industry.
  • Client-focused approach with the ability to think critically.
  • Flexible and collaborative team player.
  • Valid UK driving license.
