Bakers Environmental Solutions Limited is a leading waste management company dedicated to environmental stewardship and sustainability. Our in-house HGV workshop plays a crucial role in maintaining a diverse fleet of approximately 50 waste vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and compliantly.

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Workshop Manager to elevate our fleet's performance, efficiency, and compliance. If you are passionate about leading a team in a fast-paced, environmentally conscious workshop, we want to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fleet management, compliance, and team leadership within a high-paced, environmentally focused setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Fleet workshop and Yard, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all Road Haulage and Transport operator's licence laws and standards.
  • Monitor and manage workshop budgets, including inventory control and procurement of parts and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental regulations and company EMS policies/procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year as a HGV Fleet Workshop Manager/Supervisor with proven operational improvements.
  • At least 3 years as a skilled HGV Technician with expertise in fault diagnosis and problem solving.
  • Minimum of 3 years in fleet O licence compliance and record keeping.
  • Team leadership, coaching, and staff development experience.
  • High standard of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Truck file.
  • Experience with ISO140001 and the waste industry is advantageous but not essential.
  • Clean driving licence; HGV licence is a plus.
