About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our respiratory team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in respiratory medicine, including the diagnosis and management of respiratory conditions.
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects and studies in respiratory medicine.
  • Participate in education and training programs for healthcare professionals, including medical students and junior doctors.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for GMC registration and a specialist register for General Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus via CCT or CESR.
  • Experience in clinical audit and patient safety initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
