About the Role

Petroineos Refining and Trading is a leading independent refiner and trader in Europe, operating as a joint venture between PetroChina and INEOS. We trade a diverse range of energy products and process over 420,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance Team in Grangemouth on a temporary 12-month basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for challenging, verifying, and undertaking all pre-engineering requirements for emergent asset scope, as well as TBM, NDT, and Inspection scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively engage with the Maintenance Planning team to ensure seamless execution of maintenance activities.
  • Have working knowledge of different types of NDT techniques for Inspection.
  • Produce a new work pack incorporating Scoping Sheet data and other required information for all works to be executed.
  • Carry out second-level supervision for all activities carried out in their asset, including contractor scopes.
  • Assess, challenge, and verify all contractor RAMS to ensure they meet the expected standard.
  • Own and drive the inspection meeting, ensuring all statutory requirements are communicated and executed three months ahead of due date.
  • Carry out suitable and sufficient risk assessments for all Maintenance activities and build permits.
  • Raise timely Delay and Defects in compliance with the appropriate Process.
  • Monitor and control maintenance activities via the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to facilitate safe and smooth operation.
  • Assess routine material, spares, and service requirements and raise purchase requisitions.
  • Represent Maintenance in correspondence, weekly, and monthly with at least one contractor.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, permits, and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Formal Apprenticeship (Mechanical/IE/Analyser as relevant to the Craft Team).
  • SVQ Level 3 in relevant subject (Mechanical Engineering/IE Engineering or equivalent).
  • HNC in appropriate Engineering subject (Mechanical Engineering/IE Engineering or equivalent).
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • IT literate and proficient in computer systems.
