We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planner Buyer to join our team in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Planner Buyer, you will play a critical role in the planning and procurement of materials and services essential for our operations and have a solid understanding of industry standards and best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify requirements; source supply and alternate suppliers monitor supplier performance while generating reports to support decision-making. This role requires exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. **Responsibilities**:
- Implement procurement strategies to optimize cost and ensure availability of raw materials, equipment, and services.
- Implement supply planning strategies to meet production targets and minimize stock outs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and create accurate supply plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate if there is a need to implement improvement plans when necessary.
- Manage inventory levels to meet production requirements while minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and negotiate favorable terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities to optimize stock holdings and reduce lead times.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze market trends and conduct market research to identify new suppliers and potential cost savings.
- Continuously improve processes and systems to enhance supply chain efficiency and reliability.
- Resolution of invoice queries
- Master data cleansing and maintenance
- Assisting department manager with other duties as required
- Report generation, analytics and KPI metrics
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and systems.
Essential Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply planning and procurement
- Extensive SAP experience.
- Experience in dealing with Suppliers, Shared Service Centre & Internal Departments
- Experience in resolving supplier invoicing issues is essential (experience in use of Readsoft is advantageous)
- Experience of previously working in a Finance/Accounts Department beneficial.
- Knowledge of GMP procedures preferable.
