We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planner Buyer to join our team in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Planner Buyer, you will play a critical role in the planning and procurement of materials and services essential for our operations and have a solid understanding of industry standards and best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify requirements; source supply and alternate suppliers monitor supplier performance while generating reports to support decision-making. This role requires exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. A strong background in supply chain management, combined with expertise in ERP systems, will be key to success in this role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to ensuring the timely delivery of quality goods and services.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement procurement strategies to optimize cost and ensure availability of raw materials, equipment, and services.
- Implement supply planning strategies to meet production targets and minimize stock outs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and create accurate supply plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate if there is a need to implement improvement plans when necessary.
- Manage inventory levels to meet production requirements while minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and negotiate favorable terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities to optimize stock holdings and reduce lead times.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze market trends and conduct market research to identify new suppliers and potential cost savings.
- Continuously improve processes and systems to enhance supply chain efficiency and reliability.
- Resolution of invoice queries
- Master data cleansing and maintenance
- Assisting department manager with other duties as required
- Report generation, analytics and KPI metrics
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and systems.

Essential Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply planning and procurement
- Extensive SAP experience.
- Experience in dealing with Suppliers, Shared Service Centre & Internal Departments
- Experience in resolving supplier invoicing issues is essential (experience in use of Readsoft is advantageous)
- Experience of previously working in a Finance/Accounts Department beneficial.
- Knowledge of GMP procedures preferable.
