We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join our Facilities Management Team in Grangemouth, on a temporary basis for a period of 12 months. Purpose of the role: Test, maintain and repair Fire and Gas detection equipment located within Petroineos buildings in compliance with Grangemouth Management Procedures and Standards for Fire and Gas Detection Maintenance. Inspect portable ATEX equipment in compliance with Grangemouth Management Procedures and Standards for Management of Portable Electronic and Electrical Devices Provide FM E/I technician support; install, maintain, fault find, overhaul and improve electrical equipment; ensuring safe and reliable operations that meet business demand. Key Accountabilities: Be fully aware and comply with Management Procedures (Management of Fire and Gas Detection) and the requirements this brings to a technicians roles and responsibilities. Working with the FM planner, take lead on execution of Fire and Gas testing. Have a working knowledge of Fire and Gas detection and testing equipment. Either carry out regular testing or take lead and supervise 3rd party contractors to complete the tests. Repair and maintain Fire and Gas equipment as required. Be fully aware and comply with Management Procedures (Management of Flammable Hazardous Areas) and the requirements this brings to a technicians roles and responsibilities; specifically portable ATEX equipment. Carry out statutory inspections on portable ATEX equipment. Upload inspection results into Transform system and Maximo. Report to Technical Authority any issues/ potential overdues. Support FM electrician in planned and breakdown works when available. Carry out all executable work in compliance with the permit, work pack, procedure and/or method statement in an appropriate time as defined by the schedule. Carry out a dynamic risk assessment before any new task begins and at any appropriate time throughout the duration the task. Liaise with external suppliers, OEM¿s and third parties to identify spare parts, drawings, specialist tooling to improve maintenance activity execution Assess new Work Orders & Service Requests and provide remediation scope when requested. Ensure all work is well prepared prior to commencing work. Carry out fault finding, communicate results and define most appropriate solution to prevent reoccurrence. Leave all worksites in a condition at least as good as found with regard to housekeeping with no site ever left in a condition below the expectations laid out in the Asset Care Audit process. Provide daily feedback to FM planner; updating on progress and/or completion of planned and emergent work scopes. Complete all required QA and Work Pack documentation as required. (e.g. Test certificates, Transform updates, Job Reports, PM check sheets) Responsible for ensuring all daily workshop consumables and PPE are stocked and replenished as required. Work to gain electrical authorisation to enable electrical scopes of work up to 1KV rated installations. Demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of Maximo, Transform and Alfresco. Education/Experience: Formal Electrical Apprenticeship. SVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering (or equivalent.) 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification. COMPEX 1-4 Working knowledge of BS 5839 ¿ Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings Capable of reading detailed technical drawings/diagrams, P&IDs, Electrical Schematics Drawings, Instrumentation Loop Drawings. Experience of working on a top tier COMAH site. Excellent communication skills. IT literate and proficient in computer systems. Experience of Maximo CMMS and Transform required Current driving license 1st Aid & Isolation approvals. Knowledge of building regulations The salary for this role is circa £38k depending on experience.
