We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Porter to join our team at Nuffield Health Oxford. As a Healthcare Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital facilities, providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilities Management: Manage waste streams, including clinical, domestic, recycling, and special waste, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Security and Access Control: Conduct security checks, including early morning opening, evening lockdown, and ad-hoc checks, to ensure the hospital's security and integrity.
- Porter Services: Assist with patient transfers between departments, manage internal and external post, and maintain the external environment to a high standard.
- Equipment and Furniture Movement: Safely move furniture, equipment, and medical gases to departments as required.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Head Porter and Facilities Manager to ensure that third-party facilities providers meet agreed service levels.
Requirements:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable with physical work, including lifting heavy equipment and pushing beds.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Willingness to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and situations.
