Portering Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Portering Service Manager to join our team at Grichan Whitestone Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery and development of the Portering service within our facility, working closely with the Helpdesk and the wider soft services team.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the activities of the Portering team to ensure services are provided in a timely and effective way as per the contract and to KPI with minimal or nil payment penalties.
- Ensure porters are of the necessary competence, training, back-up, and support to deliver high levels of customer service in line with the contractual requirements.
- Anticipate and deal with issues, providing a critical link between the Account Manager and the workforce.
- Take the lead in the management of all specified operational delivery requirements and company objectives in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provide support and mentoring to other team members as required, under the guidance of the Account Manager.
- Knowledge of domestic and porter services in hospitals and the operational challenges and opportunities faced daily.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with all levels.
- Excellent management skills to organise and deliver a consistently high standard of service.
- Excellent leadership skills to inspire confidence and represent company values.
- Sound judgement and critical decision-making abilities.
