General Hospital Porter Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Hospital Porter to join our team at Nuffield Health Oxford, The Manor Hospital. As a General Hospital Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital facilities and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage waste streams, including clinical, domestic, recycling, and special waste.
  • Conduct security checks, including early morning opening, evening lockdown, and ad-hoc checks.
  • Control access to the basement car park.
  • Manage patient transfers between departments.
  • Manage internal and external post, including recording postal use by on-site third parties.
  • Maintain the external environment to a high standard, including the basement car park.
  • Move furniture, equipment, and medical gases to departments.
