We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Social Media Account Manager to act as a trusted partner and senior advisor to clients and the broader Stripe Communications team regarding all aspects of social media.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will leverage your client management expertise, passion, and creativity to cultivate strong relationships with clients, encouraging them to evolve their projects into enduring partnerships.

Your profound knowledge, strategic insights, creative concepts, and exceptional service will ensure that social and content initiatives align with objectives, maintain brand integrity, adhere to briefs, stay within budget, and meet deadlines.

The Senior Social Media Account Manager will oversee the social and integrated account delivery teams, collaborating with clients and colleagues to proactively enhance and optimize social media initiatives through research and strategic planning. This includes shaping and refining account processes, managing creative content production, ensuring quality control, setting KPIs, measuring success, providing client counsel, and leading account management while tracking budgets and allocating resources effectively.

As a leader in this position, you will be expected to elevate the Stripe team’s approach to delivering and promoting all facets of social media activity. You will identify and seize opportunities to enhance knowledge, improve efficiency, foster better communication, streamline processes, add value, and achieve outstanding results.

Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Social Strategy Development – Conducting research, landscape analysis, audits, and developing insights. Crafting strategies at the brand, channel, campaign, and ad hoc levels, including strategic presentations for clients and prospects. Translating client business objectives into actionable recommendations and developing measurement frameworks to assess success and ROI.
  • Content Strategy and Execution – Leading and actively participating in brainstorming sessions, ideation, and content calendar development across accounts, ensuring the highest quality delivery in line with our standards. Communicating and selling content strategies to clients to secure their support, while providing feedback to the team and managing ongoing social and content execution.
  • Trends and Innovations – Staying informed about content trends, social media platform functionalities, and innovation opportunities, sharing insights with clients and the team to develop new capabilities and business opportunities, positioning Stripe as a leader in social media expertise.
  • Analytics and Performance Measurement – Establishing benchmarks, forecasts, and KPIs for client social media activities. Collaborating with the team to create reporting formats, overseeing social performance reports, and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Digital Strategy Consultation – Advising on how social media integrates with the broader digital marketing mix. Maintaining awareness of current web, email, online advertising, PPC, SEO, and mobile marketing strategies that clients may use alongside social media to maximize cross-channel effectiveness.
  • Paid Social Management – Planning, setting up, managing, and optimizing paid social media campaigns.
Qualifications
  • Experience with social listening tools such as Meltwater or Brandwatch
  • Proficiency in influencer identification and management tools
  • Familiarity with Facebook/Meta Business Manager and Ads Manager
  • Experience with TikTok Creator Marketplace and Ads Manager
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Strong desktop research skills for insight generation
  • Experience with social media management tools like Hootsuite or Sprout
