Lead the Way in Immigration Advocacy

BAIL FOR IMMIGRATION DETAINEES is seeking an exceptional individual to lead our organisation in a period of challenge and opportunity. As our new Director, you will be responsible for leading the organisation's strategic direction, managing our team, and ensuring our continued impact in immigration detention policy and practice.

The role will be multi-faceted, requiring strong leadership, people management, and fundraising skills. You will lead on strategic leadership, finance and operations, people and culture, fundraising, policy and communications, legal casework, and governance and regulation. With the support of our committed board of trustees and a brilliant team of 10 staff, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people in detention.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement the organisation's strategic plan
  2. Manage the organisation's finances and operations
  3. Lead on people and culture, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment
  4. Secure funding and resources to support the organisation's work
  5. Develop and implement effective policy and communications strategies
  6. Lead on legal casework, ensuring the organisation's work is informed by the latest legal developments
  7. Ensure the organisation's governance and regulation are up to date and compliant
