We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Researcher to join our team at MSCI Inc. As a key member of our research team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing methodologies, models, and data solutions to support our clients' net-zero journey.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Climate Models: Create and refine climate models and methodologies to evaluate emissions related to investments, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Client Engagement and Support: Collaborate with clients to understand their investment challenges and provide expert guidance on climate-related queries, leveraging your knowledge of industry initiatives and climate data.
- Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest climate finance and sustainability trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and developing solutions to address investment challenges.
- Agile Development and Prototyping: Apply agile development techniques to rapidly prototype and refine climate-related solutions, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Anticipate and address emerging challenges, adapting to new developments and evolving client needs.
- Climate Finance Expertise: 3-5 years of experience in climate finance or sustainability finance, with a strong understanding of industry initiatives and climate data.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to convey complex climate-related concepts and ideas to clients and stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Experience with software development using Python and familiarity with carbon accounting methodologies and sectoral decarbonization approaches.
- Collaboration and Adaptability: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, adapting to changing priorities and client needs.
