Job Title: Cardiology Research Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Cardiology Research team at the Bristol Heart Institute as a Cardiology Research Nurse. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of clinical trials and research studies in cardiology.

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to work as part of our Cardiology Research team. The successful candidate will have experience in cardiovascular disease and/or acute care settings and will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of clinical trials and research studies in cardiology
  • Approach patients to participate in studies and manage and assist the team with practical assessments
  • Complete all administrative duties associated with these assessments, including entering results on to a computer-based data collection portal
  • Work closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team to support a portfolio of non-complex clinical trials
  • Ensure that research is undertaken within research governance and good clinical practice (GCP) guidelines and safeguards the wellbeing of participants
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Nursing
  • Experience in cardiovascular disease and/or acute care settings
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail

The position is available on a fixed-term contract for up to 1-year full time. The work pattern will be Monday to Friday but may include some evenings and some occasional weekends to meet requirements of various studies.
