We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our Cardiology Research team at the Bristol Heart Institute. The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge and experience of clinical practice within an acute hospital environment, with a particular interest in clinical research.
The Cardiology Research Nurse will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of non-complex clinical trials, working closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver treatment in Cardiology. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and use their own initiative.
The successful candidate will be trained to deliver treatment in Cardiology and will be expected to work flexibly according to role need. We offer the opportunity of professional development towards a band 6 research nurse role within a friendly, supportive environment, working within an integrated team in a variety of training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Support a portfolio of non-complex clinical trials in Cardiology
- Work closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver treatment in Cardiology
- Develop and maintain knowledge of clinical research principles and practices
- Contribute to the development and implementation of research protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient delivery of research studies
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification
- Experience of clinical practice within an acute hospital environment
- Interest in clinical research
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and use own initiative
