Clinical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Charge Nurse/Sister to join our team at the Haematology Day Unit in Singleton Hospital. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for providing visible, professional nursing leadership, support, supervision, and guidance to our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical advice and undertake management and monitoring activities in line with legal and professional requirements, statutory rules, and Health Board policies.
- Be responsible for the efficient management of the unit budget and effectively deploy the nursing team and utilize allocated resources.
- Raise any financial expenditure concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Support junior colleagues in the provision of direct care and respond to/lead change.
- Manage time effectively, delegate, and prioritize work.
- Develop leadership and management skills and demonstrate a willingness to contribute to the development of clinical practice.
- Registered Nurse (Part 1) - Active NMC Registration.
- Bachelor degree in a relevant health-related subject (or equivalent experience).
- Pertinent postgraduate diploma (or equivalent development/experience).
- Knowledge of Safeguarding Adults/Children, including the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
- Knowledge of quality and service improvement methodologies, e.g., Bronze IQT.
- Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of the NMC Code (2015).
- Teaching qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Recognized management qualification.
- Understanding of wider nursing and healthcare-related agenda.
- Relevant experience within the specialty and able to demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant specialty.
- Experience of coordinating a team, facilitating learning in and from practice, and previous experience of leadership and management.
