Clinical Lead for Older People's Mental Health

Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Lead for Older People's Mental Health to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team.
Our Older Peoples Mental Health Service (OPMHS) provides community care services for older adults (over 70) with functional mental health illnesses and complex health issues. We specialize in treating frail patients with diverse needs, including dementia and other cognitive impairments.
As a Clinical Lead, you will play a vital role in leading and managing our team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care to older adults experiencing mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert clinical leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring best practice standards are consistently met.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, collaborating closely with families and other healthcare providers.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Older Peoples Mental Health Service, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team, actively seeking opportunities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Contribute to research and development initiatives related to older adult mental health.
- Registered Nurse or other relevant healthcare professional with extensive experience in older adult mental health care.
- Proven leadership skills with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- A passion for providing compassionate and person-centered care to older adults.
