Human Resources Department

The Human Resources (HR) team manages the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment to retirement, collaborating closely with various departments such as New Site Development, Construction, Operations, Sales, Finance, Tech & Systems, and Legal to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment. Our HR team is recognized for its proactive and strategic approach.

Unlike many organizations where HR functions are limited to administrative oversight, our HR professionals are empowered with the authority and responsibility to drive critical processes directly. This includes talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and organizational planning. By leveraging in-house expertise, our HR team aligns long-term organizational sustainability with innovative HR practices and cost-effective strategies, ensuring that our workforce is engaged, motivated, and equipped to contribute to the company's success. Each member of our HR team plays a crucial role in making high-impact decisions, resulting in a more dynamic and productive work environment.

Position Overview

Vantage is in search of a detail-oriented and dynamic Manager of Talent Acquisition to lead our executive search team. You will oversee a dedicated team of Talent Acquisition Partners and Sourcers responsible for managing the full talent acquisition lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding for all Vice President (VP) and above hiring needs. You will lead and support a specific Vantage business line that will continue to evolve as our business grows. A key aspect of this role will be the effective development and execution of the company's hiring plan, headcount planning, data-driven reporting, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and cultural scaling. You will embody our values and strive for excellence to guide and develop the next generation of employees, empowering Vantage Data Centers to succeed in achieving its mission and vision.

This position will be instrumental in our company's growth and in maintaining our competitive edge in the market. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition, you will play a vital role in developing and executing Vantage's executive search strategy, contributing to the company's mission and vision by securing top-tier leadership talent.

Essential Job Functions

  • Executive Full-Cycle Recruitment: Lead all aspects of the executive search process, ensuring a lasting and impactful candidate experience; collaborate efficiently with internal business partners while maintaining consistency. Focus on passive sourcing to minimize reliance on third-party staffing agencies. Serve as the primary recruiter on assigned requisitions where applicable. Meet and drive assigned talent acquisition and departmental goals, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Employer Branding: Enhance the company's employer brand through various channels, including social media, career fairs, and networking events. Engage in employer branding initiatives to attract top talent and bolster the company's reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Technology: Utilize technology such as ChatGPT, Textio, Prelude, LinkedIn, Indeed, Workday, and others to identify the best candidates. Promote ongoing technology adoption through learning sessions, training, and coaching with team members. Ensure accurate reporting, data analytics, and talent insights for executive updates and business reviews as assigned.
  • Ownership: Conduct requisition reviews with assigned departments, providing appropriate content and status updates. Generate innovative ideas to address niche, hard-to-fill requisitions. Manage end-to-end talent acquisition practices, focusing on sourcing, recruiting, diversity and inclusion, and talent acquisition operations to increase the number of high-quality direct hires.
  • Collaboration: Assist in job requisition assignment and partnership strategies. Collaborate with North America, EMEA, and APAC Vantage talent acquisition leaders to streamline and enhance the global recruiting process. Educate Vantage management and leadership on standardized recruiting practices. Build relationships with various collaborators to understand business needs and future departmental requirements.
  • Strategy: Develop and implement the annual talent acquisition strategy and plan, suggesting process improvements and staying informed of current trends. Support the implementation and optimization of ATS software to drive performance and improved outcomes. Provide insights on labor and recruiting market practices to ensure talent acquisition aligns with business needs.
  • Coaching: Mentor team members in Talent Acquisition across all full-cycle recruitment practices to enhance partnerships and performance, while aligning with Vantage's core values.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition. Proven experience leading the full talent acquisition lifecycle within high-growth companies is preferred. Familiarity with Workday Recruiting, LinkedIn, and Indeed is advantageous. Experience in the data center industry is preferred but not essential; however, a track record of recruiting for technical roles is required. International experience, particularly in Canada, is desirable.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to enhance talent acquisition processes, optimize candidate experiences, improve direct hire rates, and build internal talent pipelines. Proficient in ATS systems and adept with data and analytics. A collaborative team player capable of influencing and developing effective partnerships with stakeholders at all levels. Strong organizational and communication skills. Key personal traits include self-sufficiency, dynamism, flexibility, customer focus, passion, ambition, collaboration, strong relationship-building skills, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $105,000-$125,000 Base + Bonus

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
