Assistant Fund Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Fund Controller to join our Global Private Markets Operations team at abrdn. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to our Real Estate Fund Controllers and Investment teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our complex real estate funds and mandates.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Fund Controllers to deliver key objectives, including preparing supporting documentation for service providers.
- Support Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
- Assist with funding activities, including liquidity planning, capital calls, and board meeting documentation.
- Work with the Tax Structuring team on funding splits (equity/IC loan).
- Prepare drawdown notices and set up payments in online banking systems.
- Support lending bank covenant reporting and client standard/bespoke financial reporting.
- Assist with bank account setup and treasury sheet maintenance.
- Prepare files summarizing fund metrics (PDCT) and perform payment setup using online banking platforms.
- Provide audit support.
We are looking for a candidate with strong Excel skills, problem-solving abilities, and a keen analytical mindset. Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English, are essential. A good understanding of financial reporting, with knowledge of real estate being an advantage, is also desirable.
