About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications and Engagement Lead to join our team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Our Future Hospital Programme team, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering communications that engage stakeholders at all levels, from local to national and political.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage stakeholders and promote our hospital services.
  • Provide specialist advice on communications and engagement to support the delivery of business cases at strategic, outline, and full business case levels.
  • Work closely with the Our Future Hospital Programme team to ensure projects are delivered on time and in line with the programme's plan.
  • Lead and guide junior team members, providing leadership, guidance, and education to support their development.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, public, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in communications and engagement on high-value estates projects.
  • Experience of working within the NHS.
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
