About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications and Engagement Lead to join our team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Our Future Hospital Programme team, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering communications that engage stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage stakeholders, including local communities, national organizations, and political groups.
  • Provide specialist advice on communication and engagement to support the delivery of business cases at strategic, outline, and full business case levels.
  • Work closely with the Our Future Hospital Programme team to ensure projects are delivered on time and in line with the programme's plan.
  • Lead and guide junior team members, providing leadership, guidance, and education to support their development.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create and maintain effective working relationships.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in communication and engagement on high-value estates projects.
  • Experience working within the NHS, with a strong understanding of the healthcare sector.
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment, with a focus on delivering results under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
