Role: Youth Mentorship Program Coordinator

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 annually
Hours: 36 hours per week

The Youth Mentorship Program Coordinator will work closely with educational staff and the mentoring organization to execute a comprehensive mentoring initiative for students in S2-S6.

The successful candidate will possess the following competencies:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with young participants in the program.
  • Foster strong connections with care-experienced youth, particularly during transitional phases in their education, through an accessible and supportive approach.
  • Encourage full participation of all students in S2 to S6 in their mentoring experiences.
  • Guide youth in utilizing all facets of the mentoring framework, including educational and career pathway exploration, Talent Tasters, and the Ambassador program.
  • Develop case studies and success narratives that highlight progress and program effectiveness, emphasizing the voices of the youth.
  • Stay in contact with and support young individuals who may be disengaged or not yet involved in the program.
  • Oversee mentor recruitment, training, engagement, and ongoing support.
  • Provide consistent support and actively engage mentors throughout their mentoring journeys.
  • Collaborate with the regional team and Program Manager to fulfill recruitment goals.
  • When feasible, assist in delivering Core Mentor Training.

This position involves regulated work with children and/or vulnerable adults under relevant legislation. The selected individual will be required to join the appropriate safeguarding scheme or undergo a background check.
