Job Title: Youth Music Initiative Tutor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Youth Music Initiative Tutor to join our team at City of Edinburgh Council. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality music making opportunities to young people across primary schools in North West Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver music tuition to pupils of all ages in primary schools
  • Develop and implement creative music provisions for learners
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to support the music curriculum
  • Contribute to the development of music programs and initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements:

  • Sound understanding of group music teaching and knowledge of the current curriculum
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to inclusion and diversity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with children and young people of all ages and abilities
