Position Overview:
Gi Group is currently in search of a proficient Chemical Materials Specialist to contribute to our operations.

Job Schedule:
Monday - Friday

08:00 - 16:00

£12 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the handling of fine chemicals, whether in bulk or prepackaged forms, in compliance with Chemical Exposure Management (CEM) regulations.
- Execute the manufacturing of Cell Culture Media intended for the biotech sector, involving the chemical processing of raw materials into the final packaged product utilizing semi-automated packaging machinery.
- Ensure accurate packing of all samples for transport to maintain both physical and thermal integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of Export Shipments, ensuring that all shipments are loaded correctly and that all necessary documentation is completed.
- Maintain adequate stock levels of consumables in your designated area and understand the requisition procedures.
- Keep up-to-date records and documentation pertinent to the role.
- Adhere to site Security policies and ensure compliance with environmental and quality standards, including the Integrated Management System (IMS) and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Engage in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives on-site.

Qualifications:
- A solid educational background, with proficiency in verbal and written English.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced PC skills.
- Previous experience in a similar capacity is advantageous for a stable and fulfilling career opportunity.
