About the Role

This post requires a flexible and proactive individual to provide a reactive and rapid response service to cover absences and cleaning incidents across Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide cleaning services in Lancashire Constabulary buildings, Care Homes, and County Council properties.
  • Deliver Bio Hazard cleaning at Police sites.
  • Ensure cleaning services are delivered in line with regulations, using correct chemicals and equipment.
  • Operate specialist cleaning equipment for surfaces requiring various cleaning methods.
  • Ensure safe working methods and take responsibility for health and safety of yourself and building users.
  • Perform key holding duties.
  • Provide county-wide cover for cleaning in Police, Care, and Corporate establishments.
  • Deliver cleaning services in line with regulations, ensuring adherence to the use of correct chemicals and equipment, and undertaking training for specialist equipment used or surfaces requiring various cleaning methods.
  • Ensure safe working methods and take responsibility for health and safety of yourself and building users, including those with key holding duties.
  • Participate in on-call/standby duties, evenly shared between the team, and receive an on-call standby allowance and additional working hours paid over and above the stipulated salary.
