Job Description

Purpose of the Role

To design, develop, and improve software solutions that meet the business needs of our customers and colleagues. This involves utilizing various engineering methodologies to create scalable, maintainable, and optimized software systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
  • Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

  • Make a significant impact on the work of related teams within the area.
  • Partner with other functions and business areas to drive business outcomes.
  • Take ownership of end results and operational processing, and escalate breaches of policies or procedures as needed.
  • Embed new policies and procedures adopted due to risk mitigation.
  • Advise and influence decision-making within own area of expertise.
  • Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work owned or contributed to.
  • Maintain and continually build an understanding of how own sub-function integrates with the function, alongside knowledge of the organization's products, services, and processes within the function.
  • Demonstrate understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the organization's objectives.
  • Make evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information, paying attention to detail.
  • Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and precedents.
  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex or sensitive information.
  • Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside the team and external to the organization.

As a graduate, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts, gain valuable hands-on experience, and contribute to the design and delivery of innovative solutions, products, and services for our customers and colleagues.

Requirements

To be considered for this program, you must be an undergraduate or master's student with an anticipated graduation date between December and June 2025. Ideally, you would also have a STEM degree, an interest in technology, and a drive to solve financial challenges with innovative solutions.
