Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of our team, the Electrical Project Engineer will engage in a hybrid working model, contributing from both the office and site locations as necessary.

Compensation:
Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £50,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including:

Role Responsibilities:
The Electrical Project Engineer will play a crucial role in transforming electrical designs into actionable projects. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting value engineering assessments to identify potential cost overruns and implementing proactive measures for financial management.
  • Supporting procurement timelines and aligning project milestones to enhance cash flow.
  • Identifying and evaluating risks associated with projects, formulating effective mitigation strategies.
  • Assessing change requests and their implications on project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of project activities, including progress reports and adherence to timelines.
  • Collaborating with designers, maintenance teams, and clients to ensure cohesive engagement.
  • Providing regular updates on project milestones to stakeholders.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers and contractors.

Required Skills and Experience:
While formal qualifications are not strictly necessary, a robust knowledge base gained through diverse experiences is essential. Candidates should possess:
  • Extensive background in electrical engineering with proven success in project execution and commissioning.
  • Experience in operational and maintenance engineering, focusing on plant improvements.
  • Ability to analyze machinery operations and identify process inefficiencies.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in interpreting 3D models and design schematics.
  • Hands-on experience in commissioning electrical installations and facilitating transitions to full production.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Project.
  • Experience across various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation.
  • Familiarity with material handling and heavy industrial machinery is advantageous.
