What You'll Be Responsible For

As part of our thriving Public Sector division, we are seeking two pre-sales solutions consultants to bolster our National Security initiatives. A fundamental requirement for all candidates is to possess an active national security clearance (Developed Vetting). In this client-facing position, you will forge relationships with both Business and Technical decision-makers within our client base, aligning Cisco's product and services offerings with their specific needs and requirements.

You will champion Cisco's mission and strategic vision, demonstrate familiarity with lifecycle selling and customer purchasing models, and engage with a diverse array of Cisco technologies tailored for UK public sector organizations. Acting as the technical authority for your account team, you will translate Cisco's strategies and initiatives into actionable plans for your clients. Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of Products and Services, including Applications Observability, Cloud Security, Networking, Network Automation, Collaboration, Routing and Switching, and IoT. You will become proficient in innovative areas such as SASE, Zero Trust, or Full Stack Observability, crafting tailored solutions to address the unique requirements of your customers.

You will exhibit a strong collaborative spirit, take ownership and accountability for your work, and possess exceptional consultative skills to discern customer needs while positioning Cisco's product and services portfolio effectively. Your responsibilities will include delivering technical presentations, showcasing Cisco Enterprise solutions and services, and organizing demonstrations that elucidate features and benefits for your clients. Additionally, you will assist customers and partners with Bill of Materials and RFP/RFI submissions.

Your Collaborators

In this dynamic, customer-centric role, you will be an integral member of the Account Team, working closely with Cisco Account Managers. You will leverage an extensive network of technical resources, product specialists, and Cisco Engineering to obtain in-depth technical and specialized support. Collaboration with Cisco Partners and Cisco CX will also be essential to support various stages of the customer lifecycle.

Who You Are

You possess experience in customer-facing pre-sales and/or post-sales engagements within the National Security Sector, enabling you to articulate the business value of Cisco's solutions and convey technical concepts to diverse audiences with varying technical backgrounds. Your effective communication skills foster confidence in technology and facilitate the conversion of business opportunities into sales.

Key Qualifications for This Role:

  • Technical customer-facing experience, preferably in pre-sales.
  • Expertise and technical knowledge in at least three of the following areas: Enterprise Networking technologies (Switching, Wireless, Routing); Network Automation; Programmability; Data Centre and Cloud Technologies; On-Prem and Cloud Security; Applications Observability; Cloud Networking; IoT.
  • Cisco Professional-level certification (or industry equivalent).
  • CyberOps or DevNet skills would be advantageous.
  • UK national security clearance - Currently holding active DV clearance.
  • Familiarity with relevant Cisco technology or solutions from pertinent competitors.
  • Proficiency in software value-based selling.
  • Understanding of Enterprise technology, industry trends, and market dynamics.
  • Adaptable, diligent, and capable of swiftly learning various technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, taking ownership and accountability for tasks and projects.
