About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our Psychology Department, you will play a vital role in providing specialist psychological work to individuals who work or live at Langdon Hospital.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in forensic mental health settings, with experience in risk assessment, offence-focused work, individual or group therapy, trauma, psychosis, personality and relational difficulties, and cognitive and developmental difficulties. You will work closely with our experienced Clinical, Forensic, Counselling Psychologists, Psychotherapists, and Arts Therapists to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based approaches to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care pathways and therapeutic learning cultures.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for staff and patients.
  • Participate in audits and research to inform service development and improvement.
