Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our Inpatient Psychology Team at Dewnans Centre, Langdon Hospital, Dawlish. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative psychology department, providing specialist psychological services to individuals with mental health problems.
The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based interventions, and contribute to the development of a therapeutic learning culture within the hospital.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as risk assessments and management plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement service development initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of a therapeutic learning culture within the hospital.
- BA or BSc in Psychology, eligible for recognition by the British Psychological Society.
- Experience of working in a mental health setting, with a focus on forensic mental health.
- Ability to integrate complex data and work independently within defined occupational procedures.
- Experience of reflecting on practice and a willingness to receive training in patient restraint.
