About the Role

The Counsellor and Wellbeing Adviser will play a pivotal part in supporting students' mental health and wellbeing through individual and group counselling, workshops, and drop-in services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain confidential records and adhere to safeguarding policies
  • Collaborate with Colleges' support services to ensure a holistic approach to wellbeing
  • Provide professional Wellbeing Support services, particularly with children and young people
  • Manage caseloads and maintain strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Stay up-to-date with safeguarding processes, external support agencies, data protection regulations, crisis management, and referral procedures
Requirements
  • Registered professional with substantial counselling experience, particularly with children and young people
  • Strong empathy, communication, and caseload management skills
  • Qualification in Counselling at Diploma Level or higher and membership of an ethical body, such as BACP, UKCP, or NCS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
