Role and Responsibilities

We are currently seeking experienced lawyers to join our expanding personal injury team. We welcome applications from individuals with a minimum of 4 years' PQE, as well as those with more extensive experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting face-to-face consultations with new clients and their families, either in medical facilities or at home, throughout the case lifecycle.
  • Prioritizing early access to rehabilitation and addressing liability concerns.
  • Managing serious and complex high-value cases from inception to resolution as part of a collaborative team.
  • Coordinating with experts, barristers, third-party insurers, and various organizations.
  • Drafting legal documents, including statements of case, schedules of loss, witness statements, applications, pleadings, and instructions to counsel.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of case plans, ensuring clear direction and strategy.
  • Representing clients in court, attending conferences with or without counsel, and participating in settlement discussions and Case Management Conferences.
  • Instructing and collaborating with case managers and care providers.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of relationships with charitable organizations.
  • Engaging with clients and their families through effective communication.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Grade B/C or CILEX, or equivalent non-qualified experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling serious injury cases, particularly those valued at £100,000 and above.
  • Proficient in managing a diverse range of liability scenarios.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and client care skills, with a compassionate and professional demeanor.
  • Experience in litigation at the High Court level.
  • Thorough understanding of the CPR, litigation processes, and cost budgeting.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Self-driven and proactive in approach.
  • Commercially minded regarding litigation and case progression.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team and mentor junior members.
  • Proficient in IT applications.
  • Capable of liaising effectively with other integral teams within the organization.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Willingness to contribute ideas and engage in brand development, networking, and marketing initiatives.
