CMC Markets is seeking a qualified Senior Risk Management Specialist with pertinent experience in Options, tasked with ensuring that the Group's financial exposures are accurately identified, documented, and analyzed in a prompt and effective manner.
This position has been established to bolster the Risk team in executing the Options initiative, aiding in the formulation of reporting standards and ongoing surveillance. The role encompasses both financial and liquidity risk oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Senior Risk Management Specialist will create, oversee, and communicate various risk indicators, ensuring that any violations are duly reported or authorized.
- Conduct daily analysis, interpretation, and communication of stress testing results.
- Enhance the existing reporting framework for market and credit counterparty risks.
- Foster and elevate awareness of Financial Risk Management (FRM) so that all stakeholders comprehend their roles and responsibilities regarding FRM.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Group's Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment (ICARA) review.
- Generate monthly management reports for the Board concerning the Financial Risks faced by the Group.
- Represent Financial Risk in Group initiatives and ensure the team meets its delivery targets.
- The Senior Risk Management Specialist will be knowledgeable about all current and new products offered by CMC Markets, particularly in terms of how they are recorded and reported by the Financial Risk Management team.
- Engage in personal and professional growth to adapt to the evolving demands of the role, including all necessary regulatory and legislative training.
- In all interactions with customers, clients, or colleagues, ensure the provision of a clear, fair, and consistent high-quality service that reflects a professional and positive image of CMC Markets.
- Take all reasonable measures to maintain confidentiality.
- Perform additional duties, training, and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in exchange-traded and OTC derivatives (futures and options).
- A degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Highly analytical, with a keen attention to detail, and a curious and investigative mindset.
- Well-organized, capable of managing time effectively to ensure timely completion of operational tasks.
- Proficient in Excel, with Excel VBA skills preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
