Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and advice on the estate, ensuring that the built environment is safe, efficient, and effective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and advice on the estate, ensuring that the built environment is safe, efficient, and effective.
  • Hold corporate and professional responsibility for estates and facilities service standards, governance, policies, financial management, statutory and regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Develop and implement effective financial control procedures.
  • Lead complex negotiations and build strategic partnerships with other organizations.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve services within tight financial constraints.
Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant estates or facilities discipline.
  • Post-graduate qualification at doctorate level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Project management qualification or equivalent level of experience.
  • Significant senior management experience in a large organization in estates and facilities management.
  • Experience of effective partnership working with other organizations at a senior level.
  • Strong commercial and contracts management experience.
  • Ability to write and present complex information.
