Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Delivery Manager to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the frontline collection service and supervising up to 60 employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the collection service, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise and lead a team of up to 60 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
  • Manage the budget for the collection service, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for and that the service is delivered within budget.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage fleet compliance, including daily checks and ensuring that vehicles are compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and other departments within the company.
  • Manage staff usage and agency costs, ensuring that the service is delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Arrange site inspections to ensure that all operations are being conducted in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing a team and leading operations.
  • Strong people management and team leadership skills.
  • Stakeholder relationship management.
  • Driving Licence.
  • Waste and/or Fleet management experience.
  • Previous use of digital systems to manage services & people - Desirable.
  • IOSH Managing Safely/NEBOSH - Desirable.
  • Level 5 Leadership & Management or equivalent work experience, Transport CPC, COTC/CMS - Desirable.
