Leader Education is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join a co-education secondary school provision for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The ideal candidate will have resilience and experience working alongside children or vulnerable adults with complex needs.
This school prioritizes quality first teaching and aims to provide a broad but balanced curriculum that caters to individual needs. They incorporate therapeutic strategies and excellent pastoral support to promote student well-being.
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability and a commitment to meeting diverse student needs
- A good understanding of EHCPs
- The ability to assist in lessons and activities
- Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Understanding of safeguarding and promoting student welfare
- The ability to support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
