Position Overview
We are seeking Facilities Maintenance Technicians to become integral members of the Estates Team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in maintenance and repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will collaborate with our skilled technicians across various trades, providing a thorough engineering service to all departments and wards within a multi-disciplinary setting, while ensuring adherence to safety standards and protocols established by the Trust.

Qualifications and Experience
Required
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- NVQ Level 2 in Electrical, Building, or Mechanical Services or equivalent experience
- Commitment to participate in in-house training programs
- Experience equivalent to NVQ Level 3
Preferred
- Confined Spaces Certification
- City & Guilds in Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
Experience Requirements
Required
- Experience in Electrical or Mechanical Services
- Background in the construction industry
- Familiarity with the use of ladders and scaffolding
Preferred
- Experience in a healthcare environment
- Proficiency in computer usage and keyboard skills
- Experience with fall arrest systems for working at heights
Knowledge Base
Required
- Understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Services, including working at height
Preferred
- Knowledge of building services
Skills and Competencies
Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with staff at all organizational levels
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capability to meet deadlines consistently

Work Environment Considerations
Required
- Access to a vehicle or alternative means of transportation to fulfill service requirements across the Trust
