Job Title: RF Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled RF Hardware Engineer to join our team at Raytheon UK. As a key member of our Assured Position, Navigation and Timing (APNT) team, you will be responsible for designing and developing RF GPS/GNSS Anti-Jam Systems for the military market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop requirements for new products and lead the design and development of RF hardware solutions.
  • Design and implement RF test solutions to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF hardware designs into product solutions.
  • Produce design documentation and reports for project artefacts and deliverables.
  • Interface with suppliers and industry experts to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of RF hardware components.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience in RF hardware design and development.
  • Strong understanding of RF and analogue micro circuitry design and layout.
  • Experience with Microwave simulators (Cadence preferred), PCB layout, and Mechanical modelling tools.
  • Knowledge of RF test equipment and ability to troubleshoot and debug RF hardware issues.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in the design of Receiver technologies in the 1-2 GHz band with an emphasis on GPS/GNSS signal.
  • Ability to take an overall systems view and understand the principles of 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and customer interfacing skills.
Education:
  • Minimum of a Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant higher national qualification combined with experience in RF product design and development and/or RF testing.
