Sous Chef Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a prestigious restaurant and brasserie in Maidstone, Kent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring high-quality dishes are served to customers.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of food, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Lead a team of 8 chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless service.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas, working closely with the Head Chef to maintain a seasonal modern European cuisine.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume brasserie, restaurant, or gastro pub environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor during peak service periods.
