About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team at Reed. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Business Partner and the broader finance team, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and manage fixed assets.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and provide analytical insights.
  • Handle prepayments, accruals, and reconcile balance sheets.
  • Assist with IFRS16 lease accounting and statutory reporting.
  • Provide costings and support for project work as required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (finance, sales, manufacturing) and external parties (auditors, tax specialists).
Requirements
  • AAT Level 4 qualification or near completion, with a willingness to study for CIMA.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., lookups, formulas, pivots).
  • Experience with SAP would be beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, technical ability, and ability to work independently during busy periods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
