The Senior ETF Product Specialist will join the EMEA Product team, focusing on the development and management of SSGA's EMEA ETFs. This role encompasses the research, design, and creation of innovative active and index ETFs, leveraging SSGA's diverse investment capabilities. The EMEA Product team operates within SSGA's Global Product framework, collaborating with the Chief Business Office (CBO) to support the Client Coverage Group and Global Investment team in delivering cutting-edge products and solutions tailored to client needs across various asset classes and investment strategies, including sustainable investing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new EMEA-domiciled ETFs aimed at enhancing SSGA's offerings for institutional and intermediary clients.
  • Develop and execute SSGA's EMEA product strategy, providing valuable insights to the global product roadmap, particularly regarding sustainable investment initiatives.
  • Drive product strategy execution, create business cases, design product features, and coordinate product launches, working collaboratively across departments.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and potential new product opportunities, ensuring alignment with client needs.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle for existing funds, including pricing, positioning, and operational adjustments to maintain market leadership.
  • Foster strong relationships and collaborate effectively with the Global Product team and key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in the implementation of relevant EU/UK regulations affecting SSGA's EMEA product offerings.
  • Contribute to the production of essential management reports to uphold a robust governance framework and ensure accountability within the Product team.

Qualifications:

  • Over 7 years of experience in product development, design, or as a product/investment strategist with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the European regulatory environment concerning asset management and funds, including MiFID, UCITS, AIFMD, BMR, and SFDR.
  • Knowledge of sustainable investing trends, regulatory frameworks, and client demand.
  • Expertise in all aspects of the product development process: research, strategy formulation, structuring, launch coordination, and lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders across various teams and regions.
  • Strong analytical skills for researching market trends and intelligence to inform product strategy and design.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying issues and recommending viable solutions.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with a collaborative approach across all organizational levels.
  • Effective communication skills, able to present complex ideas clearly and succinctly to diverse teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools such as Morningstar, Bloomberg, Factset, and Lipper.
