The International Funds Product Management (IFPM) division is tasked with the creation and oversight of conventional investment funds, including mutual funds and ETFs, tailored for the International Private Bank (IPB). This fund platform offers collective investment solutions to wealth management clients globally, managing assets exceeding $120 billion, with anticipated growth on the horizon.
The team is dedicated to fostering, sustaining, and expanding partnerships with top-tier investment managers to provide both active and passive investment options across various platforms including brokerage, advisory, and managed services.
Position Summary
As a Vice President of Strategic Initiatives within the Funds Product Management team, you will spearhead strategic projects that influence the international funds sector by aligning objectives with business requirements. This role involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders, including Investment Due Diligence teams, Investment Governance Teams, and Advisors. You will engage extensively with various functional partners such as Legal, Risk, Tax, Compliance, and Middle Office. Establishing and nurturing relationships with fund houses, ETF providers, and the broader fund industry is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee strategic product initiatives driven by business needs and regulatory requirements, engaging cross-functional teams.
- Manage the pipeline of strategic initiatives and associated tasks for active and passive investment funds and ETFs, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to internal policies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with fund houses, ETF providers, financial counterparties, and internal stakeholders, including Advisors, Bankers, and Investment teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert for mutual fund and ETF offerings.
- Stay informed about industry trends that may affect the product portfolio.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across regions and functions, providing relevant information to business partners, operations, control teams, and portfolio managers regarding product management.
- Extensive experience in financial services, particularly in wealth management or asset management.
- Proficiency with EU domiciled regulated mutual funds (UCITS) and the relevant regulatory framework is essential.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities; demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Highly motivated team player with proven problem-solving skills; capable of working independently in a dynamic environment while coordinating with teams and stakeholders.
- Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills; strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment to build consensus and influence outcomes.
- Proficient in core MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with fund distribution agreements is advantageous.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python) and business intelligence software is a plus.
