Job Title: Head of Compliance and Risk Management

Job Summary:

Rothstein Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance and Risk Management to join our client, a leading International Bank in London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in compliance and risk management, with a proven track record of ensuring a strong compliance culture is embedded across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Oversight: To support the Executive in achieving their strategic plan and objectives in a compliant manner by providing appropriate challenge and diligence.

  • Compliance Culture: To ensure that a strong compliance culture is recognized and embedded across the Bank.

  • Risk Management: To lead the management of compliance across the operations and implement policy to meet regulatory requirements enabling the business to respond to regulatory and legislative changes.

  • Statutory Obligations: To fulfill the statutory obligations of the 'Nominated Officer', Head of Compliance and MLRO.

  • SMF 16 and SMF 17: To hold and execute the requirements of the SMF 16 (Compliance Oversight Function) and SMF 17 (Money Laundering Reporting Function).

  • Job Requirements: This Job Description should be read in conjunction with the SMF 16 and SMF 17 Statement of Responsibilities (SoR).

Requirements:

  • Strong Compliance Background: The successful candidate will have a strong background in compliance and risk management, with a proven track record of ensuring a strong compliance culture is embedded across the organization.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: The candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and be able to implement policy to meet these requirements.

  • Leadership Skills: The Head of Compliance and Risk Management will be a strong leader, able to lead and manage a team of compliance professionals.

  • Communication Skills: The candidate will have excellent communication skills, able to communicate complex compliance issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
