Senior Contract Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Manager to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring that contracts are in place with pathology providers and external parties to support the provision of pathology services across our Trust and CCG sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on contracting and performance management, ensuring that contracts are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Manage contracts with pathology providers, including negotiation and renegotiation of terms and conditions.
- Work effectively in a multi-professional environment, leading multi-disciplinary groups and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies for contract monitoring and performance management, ensuring that contracts are delivering value for money.
- Provide management leadership and support to the procurement team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver their responsibilities.
Requirements
- Significant management experience, preferably in a healthcare or procurement environment.
- Experience of leading on contracting and performance management, including negotiation and renegotiation of contracts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
- Proven experience of working effectively across organizational boundaries, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
