About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Manager to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring that contracts are in place with pathology providers and external parties to support the provision of pathology services across our Trust and CCG sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on contracting and performance management, ensuring that contracts are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage contracts with pathology providers and external parties, including negotiation and renegotiation of terms and conditions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve contract performance and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with our pathology services team to ensure that contracts are aligned with business objectives and goals.
  • Provide management leadership and support to our pathology services team, including training and development.
Requirements
  • Significant management experience, including experience of leading on contracting and performance management.
  • Experience of managing contracts, including negotiation and renegotiation of terms and conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
  • Ability to analyze complex facts and situations and develop a range of options.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise.
