Job Summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Coordinator to join our Project Management Team in the NIHR Clinical Research Facility.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of services to the Clinical Research Facility, including:

  • Setting up clinical trials and coordinating trial activities
  • Providing data management and database training
  • Supporting local investigators and research nurses with study set up
  • Organizing site initiation visits and monitoring visits
  • Leading study recruitment for assigned studies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • A research background and experience in conducting or organizing research
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft applications for managing and analysing information
  • Awareness of current legislation regarding research governance issues
  • ICH/GCP Trained
Desirable Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Healthcare background
  • Recent NHS experience
